[79veedubGJ]

i just recently stuffed an 84gti motor in my 79 rabbit and switched wiring harnesses. everything worked beautifully for a while and then my ignition control went out. i replaced it with a new on and it ran beautifully for about thirty seconds before it burned out also. any ideas as to why they both burned out so fast? ive looked for shorts but couldnt find any. am i over voltaging it? im also looking for a new ignition control unit if anybody has an extra one for sale!!!
