A little out of the loop. When you say ABA bottom end, to what do you refer? The 2L that come in just about everything newer? And 'counterflow' head? What head code, what models? I remember seeing a chart of all the vw/audi head codes and specs somewhere, but can't find it now.
My tranny's a lil rough, shot synchros. Did they only start the cable linkages in Mk4's?
I loved driving my rabbit. The way that thing could slam a turn was like magic. I tried driving my girlfriend's 2001 GTi VR6 like I used to drive my rabbit. Now she won't speak, just rocks back and forth and mumbles with her eyes shut. I think it's her ECU.
