Default Electrical Issue (headlight/horn/blower fan??) '82 Pickup

Hi...

Newbie owner syndrome!

I bought an '82 Diesel Pickup yesterday... Everything worked when I picked it up...

I replaced the air and fuel filters today, as it's been sitting over a year... Was GOING to replace the headlights, (with H4 replacements) when I noticed they WERE NOT WORKING! (I know they worked yesterday, I drove at night) Then noticed the horn doesn't work..

Now-- Here's the list of things I've identified...

1) Horn doesn't work, but I hear the relay click.
2) Dome light working with 'turn' of headlght switch. It's daylight out, so I can't identify the gauge lighting.
3) With the "dimmer" switch, the lights WILL come on, with or without the headlight switch on (flash to pass-- read normal, right?).. However (this is spooky to me) with the engine running, or not, the blower fan will come on, if the headlight switch is ON, when I pull the dimmer... Yes, I've checked this several times...

I'm HOPING this is a relay failure-- that they all share... I tried replacing the horn relay, but it didn't change anything.. I've checked the fuses systematically-- no blown ones..

HELP!! I'd like to drive my truck to work tonight-- but can't without headlights!!

All help appreciated..

AJ RN
