Default oil presswure issue

Somehow the replies have been deleted but I will respond to them as best I can. I have a pressure guage permanently connected to the top of the oil filter fitting. The head gasket is installed correctly (OBEN = UP}. {Dont ask me why I'm so sure}. The pressure relief valve sticking is an idea. How can I check that? A "windage try" is beyond my experience level, but I am wondering if the "Fallopian Tube" is not the same part since the part numbers are so similar.{037 115 240 3PH} .As far as intermediate shaft bearings:hot idle is at about 29-30 PSI which I take to be about normal for this age engine.
The crank certainly must be getting oiled since I have no bearing issues. A partial clog of an oil passage might be a possibility. How can I determine that? I will retreive the oil filter and cut it open to see if theres anything to be learned. I wonder if replacing the oil pump wou;ld be a good idea. Would this automatically take care of the relief valve question? Thanks so much for replies. Will keep posting progress.
