Did you actually register your car for the $10 or did you just pay the $5 spectator admitance fee? The cars put in the smaller lot off to the side were for those that didnt register their cars but wanted to spectate the gtg. that would explain why no one came up to look at your car up there. There were plenty of non members in the main lot, and many non-members took home awards. Maybe miscommunication was the cause of you being stuck off to the side and feeling left out.
