Comments:
This car came about as a result of a sad series of events. You may have read the thread a few months ago about the white Jetta GLI that was rolled. Well, that was me and this is the result. Aaron basically swapped everything from the wrecked GLI to a $350 Golf that we picked up in Seattle. Not a bad deal really, we put a gallon of gas in it and after gapping the sparkplugs with a rock, drove it home. Literally the next day we had the Golf and Jetta together in the driveway and were busy swapping everything that wasn't painted silver. In two weeks we had completed the swap and I was back on the road. I kid you not, down to the hard brake lines everything has been swapped or replaced. The only parts that remain original to the Golf are the body panels, the glass and the carpet (I liked black better). Complete wiring harnesses have been swapped from car to car, subframes, rear beam and of course the precious turbo engine! I have to give my kudos to Aaron on this one. I can't thank him enough for all he has done but I'll try. Thanks pal!! I'm extremely pleased with the results. It's my super sleeper, 4 door commuter ass kicker. So far it has more than lived up to my expectations.
