I just bought an 06 Jetta TDI from Scottsdale North. While looking I also dealt with Camelback VW. BIG difference between the two:
1. Scottsdale North did not inflate prices (Camelback was $2000 more for same car).
2. Scottsdale offered reasonable amount for my trade-in, if not great amount.
3. After talking with Camelback again to tell them I went with their competitor, the sales manager said "well that's too bad because we would have given you [$2000 more] on your trade-in!" which was of course a load of crap because it wasn't worth that much and they were bitter.
Sooooooo... you want up front and list prices go to Scottsdale North. No experience with their service yet. My first appointment is tomorrow for a squeaky seat. One of those problems where a bad dealership will say "couldn't hear a squeak" or "all fixed" only to find that it isn't as I leave the parking lot.
