Default Compression test, hand cranked - can it be done?
I've got the engine up on a stand now. Before I dive into a complicated rebuild that requires specialized tools, I figured I'd test the compression. Can this be done by handcranking the crankshaft with a socket? I don't see why it wouldn't work, but can't find anything written about it online.
