there's a fuseable link in the primary electrical circut under the hood - if you're not getting power to anywhere that'd be something to look for - on occasion it'll have been replaced by a pep-boys fuse holder - I seem to recall it being located along the firewall - but will admit that it's been a while since I've been under the hood of a MK2 - for some reason I'm recalling a ceramic insulator block with a copper bit - one wire on each side of it - but I might be thinking a diesel on this one .....

Another thing to check (again, if you're not getting any power) is your ground connections - rust, crud and paint don't make for a good electrical circut.

Failing that - the other obvious thing to check is the battery - if it's boiled dry 'cause of a faulty voltage regulator it won't do shit to start your car.
