Default SUV vs. Car safety

I was talking to a VWoA rep the other day about car vs. SUV safety. Although the video above is scary, he brought up a very good point. With cars, a lot of accidents will be avoided that SUVs will get in. For example, you are driving at 60 mph and have to slam on your brakes because of something 150' in front of you, a Mk5 will stop about 10' short of that obstruction in the road whereas the average SUV won't be able to stop in time.

Just something to think about. After watching the above video it makes me want to get a roll cage, race seats and wear a helmet all the time.
