He guys I finally got my 1984 GLI Jetta, not bad shape over all. Got it for $550 cert with new struts, exhaust and clutch. I will be looking for some of the most and commonly done upgrades. I know it needs a shifter now so the short throw would be great. As I'm fairly new here I would love some feedback and ideas. This is what I know about the car now:

GLI I believe as it says GLI on it and has the black plastic insert between the tails. Under the hood says Family-GTI CDN
Silver missing skirts and one fend flare.
Square Head Lights
and runs like a top
