oh, my car....?? duh!! sorry it was early when i responded. I guess I didnt read your post right. its a loooonnng story....
The passat has been out of service for a few months. It's been having charging issues and I thought I would work on it
since its just sitting in my garage. So I replaced the battery, went thru 2 optima yellow tops in 2 years!!! Then I thought
I would install my 120A alternator. Then that's where most of my problems started. Put the car on jackstands
(a long process) carefully took off the front bumper, remove my FMIC, and put the front-end in service mode. To get
to the alternator I had to remove the vicous clutch fan (PITA!!!)
I guess since I removed the clutch fan I can put in my electric fan kit I just kept adding things to do, here's my list:
1. replace alternator
2. install electric fan kit
3. upgrade my battery cables
-negative to ground
-battery to alternator
-ground to block
4. finally hook up my nitrous
In the process some where I guess I banged my radiator and I notice It was leaking antifreeze great!!! now WTF!! So I
drained the antifreeze and removed the radiator and discovered a small dent on the back of the radiator.
So now I have to replace that....make that #5 on the list So I ordered and installed the new radiator, I also ordered
the lower radiator hose because it loooked like it was cracking around the coolant tank.
Everything is back together except for the electric fan kit. The instructions say to tap into the secondary fan
but some people have said that it would be to much of a load and
fry wires. So I'm kida stuck there. Some say run a relay, some say just tap into the secondary......who to believe?!?! Once I get that wired up I'm taking it to cory(gottboost) and having him put my clutch and flywheel in. I want to get everything done (clutch and nos) just
to see what its full potential.
Here's how it sits today in all it's glory.....and dust
**motor**

with the alternator, radiator and vicous clutch fan removed

where I messed up my radiator!! Motherf@&ker!!!

negative to ground wire(2 gauge) side-by-side with factory

It looks like the factory negative cable was very close to the 4 gauge. So thats why I went with the 2 gauge

ground to engine block
