Default How touchy is the match fuel distribution + air meter

If I find a used fuel distribution block at the bone yard will I need to get the matching air flow meter or would you think they are the same?

I found a bunch of differing numbers and could only figure that the things might need to match up.

Should I take the matching meter & be o.k. between models?

My fuel distribution block was full of brown crap & my #1 & #2 cylinders were not getting fuel.

I put one together from the first one I saw at the salvage yard & it leaked bad. I would not suggest taking these things apart to see inside.

I should have just bolted it on to find out first.

How about audi units?
What are the fuel distribution units that have power going to them & can I use one of those if I send it juice?

I know alot of questions but hey someone has got to know these things.
Thanks for your support,
Eric
