You can buy a rear deck offset kit (they used to make 'em - they just extended the stock hinge) - we just used to unbolt the deck and use the bottom most holes on the hinge to the topmost holes on the deck to bolt 'em back on - which gave about 1.5" of offset at the top of the deck -
