That might be (and I'm just spitballin here) that because the air flow is so low compared to the 1.8T's and the VR6's (because the 2.0 has 8 valves and they have 20 and 24 valves) a supercharger is the only real practical form of forced induction for that engine. If all you're finding is superchargers, that probably means that that's what's recommended. I can't even find a turbo for a 2.0 on bshspeedshop.com. Like I said I'm no expert that's just what I'm concluding....so don't quote me on this.
