Coil Pack 2.0
Today took the wife's 2000 2.0 (AEG Engine?) to the auto car-wash. Then proceeded to drive about 20 minutes to eat. Left, got gas..about 10 minutes later CEL starts flashing and car starts sputtering horribly. Pull off interstate, pop hood engine is physically shaking at idle. Drive about 5 minutes home cautiously and let it sit for a couple of hours. Then take it to autozone, they pull engine misfire codes for cylinder 1 and 3, plus a random misfire code. Drive the 1 mile back home and look on here....
Seems to be a Coil Pack, car has 107,000 miles, bought it with 79,000 on it and have done nothing but change oil, CTS and had the cat replaced. When bought was told it had the 80,000 mile maintenance had already been done, which would include the timing belt, water pump and all that jazz (if i remember correctly). So, how do i check the coil pack i cant find a write-up on the 2.0 (which only has one coil pack, not the individual ones correct?) How do i also eliminate anything else from the equation, seems like i would need the wires and plugs replaced too, but where to buy?
Thanks for the help, searching has left me with a few questions.
