Hi Handeye thanks for the reply, i have had the car for two years and every workday havre travelled 150 mile commute, so it has been worked hard. Had the car to my local mechanic resterday, and apparantly it was some problem with the injector wiring to cylinder 4, the wires are located in the rocker cover so checked all connections and measured resistance of injector. Reassembled everything and the car runs like a dream again - all i can think off is it must have been a conenctor problem.
