I don't have any experience here. However, I have heard that the manual transmission output shafts are riveted together. If the rivets pop off, then bad things can happen (including the tranny casing cracking). Is that the case with your transmission? Can't say.

Anybody else experience this problem, or know someone who has? I guess I should be fortunate to NOT know this problem firsthand.
