Default 1.8 8v timing

don't take my word for this but i believe this is how it goes... the notch on the cam gear needs to be faceing straight up... with the cam like that remove the plug for cylinder one and move the crankshaft until the piston reaches its highest point.... also, there's a mark on the flywheel thats used for timeing as well, but im not quite sure how that corresponds to the other marks....
