i got my coil pack recall today for my GTI. i was surprised cause i thought being a 2005 i would not be eligible. but i am so went to the dealership today to see if some parts came in and thats a big no. i showed them the recall about the coil packs and asked how i go about making an appointment to get them replaced. the guy told me that the recall is not for my car yet being its a 2005. they are starting at 1999.5 and working their way up. he told me i will be getting a second letter in the mail when i am eligible for the recall to be completed. BS i want the dang things replaced now. i asked if i could buy them, replace them myself, and then mail in the recipts to be reimbursed, he hits me with they do not have the revised ones in stock yet. BS. anyone get a similiar story?

Hi everyone,
Just opened this account to help my daughter with her new Jetta,(2003 gls), he old one 2001 was totaled out last week on turnpike.
Some ass cut her off and fled the scene, hit her and spun her out into guard rail.
After seeing the Jetta, convinced the car saved her life.
Wish I didn't lose the pics on my cell phone.
Anyway plan on enjoying this new car and the site.
Thanks.

Hi,
Just purchased my first golf. It is a 55 plate 2.0 TDI 140 4motion. 53k and FSH.

When i the engine is accelerating and de-accelerating i hear a small like siren noise coming from the car. The car runs perfect but this noise is starting to irritate me. Do i have a major problem here?? Have any of you experienced this or know what's causing this?

Thanks in advance

TMC Motorsport Tuning Boxes

TMC Motorsport Tuning Boxes
Hello friends, I would like to introduce myself and my company TMC Motorsport, we supply a large range of plug in engine tuning kits for almost all Audi/VW diesel engined models and also for all of the TSi/TFSi gasoline turbo engines.

We also supply ECU re-mapping equipment and tuning files for most makes of European cars. We offer excellent discounts to bona fide trade customers who wish to distribute our products.

Our tuning boxes are an alternative to chip tuning/ re-mapping for those who are concerned about warranty issues as our units are fully plug in and when removed leave no trace of the car being modified. Also the very newest Audi/VW models can no longer be re-mapped via OBD port, to do them the ECU must be opened and programmed direct to the PCB board but breaking the ECU seal will invalidate warranty.

TMC tuning kits will give similar gains to chip tuning and use multiple connections to the engine to control fuelling, turbo pressure and timing. Our units come with 30 days money back guarantee and 3 years warranty. Most kits can be fitted in around 15 minutes and are German manufactured with most carrying the German TUV certification.

We are offering a special forum price of £299 GBP on our Premium range which includes shipping to USA or Canada and accept secure payment by credit/debit cards or Paypal.

If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them. Please remember the timezone difference which may delay my replys at certain times.

Please visit our website TMC Motorsport - Car Tuning Kits - Diesel Tuning Kits - Engine Tuning Kits - ECU Flash - ECU Flashing (home) (http://www.tmcmotorsport.com) or email info@tmcmotorsport.com

Thank you.

So I'm driving home from work, stopped at a light, and my rpms start dropping a little bit, not too much, the light turns green and all sudden my check engine light starts flashing, and my car has absolutley no go, it accelerated ever so slowly and if I tried to give it more gas it wouldnt want to go it would sound like it wanted to stall.

I pulled over, shut her down and popped the hood..nothing seemed wrong, but it was pitch black outside.. but since I was only 6 blocks from home I figured I'd take a chance and drive the rest of the way home, the check engine light flashed all the way home and the car still had barely anything for power, when I got home I popped the hood and it smelt like...burnt something?..

Any ideas? please help.. I'm getting frustrated with this car..
thanks..

I have a noise at slow speed turns AND sitting still *while i turn the steering wheel.*

Noises come from the front right wheel of the car area and gives a "clunk" then followed by clicking as i turn the steering wheel.

it is not clicking that follows the turning of the axle, but instead only clicks IF i continue to turn the steering wheel.

I am thinking that it is the upper strut bearing on that side, but i am hearing about possibly a outer CV issue.

i woudl think that would have a clicking that follows the rotation of the axle itself, but maybe i am wrong. any thoughts on this?

too many days of rain in a row for me to actually look at it so i figured i would post up a whatcha think thread.
