Seat belt warning when i use clutch - pls help

Hi

i have a strange issue where by at some point during each car journey my seat belt chime will bong, and from that point forward onwards for the rest of the journey it will chime every time i depress the clutch, if i am stationary then only the light will appear on the dash...needless to say this is frustrating and somewhat distracting when driving.... my local VW are pathetic, despite the fact they have all the tools in the world. twice i have taken it in and twice they 'could not replicate the fault' despite twice driving away and hearing the chimes almost instantly.

can someone please help....

thanks in Advance

New guy here with some questions. Just got a 99 passat a couple of weeks ago. 1.8t. Had a baby so I had to swap out the mustang for something more roomy. Anyway. Curious to know what this engine can do and handle. Not interested in breaking any speed barriers, just a few extra RELIABLE horses wouldn't hurt. I know that first steps are always exhaust and intake with any car and I have already looked into a few options. I have seen boost controllers but I am weary about turning up the boost after seeing how small the turbo is. So I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much boost is produced at factory settings and how much is safe to increase and still maintain reliability. Also how much hp is common for these engines to handle. I think I saw that stock is about 150. Thanks for the help guys.

2000 Passat GLX, water leak submerged the CCM

So my CCM got completely submerged thanks to either a sunroof or weather stripping leak (yet to track that down, just finished mopping up the mess and getting the CCM extracted).

Is this recoverable, or should I give it up to the ghost and get a new one?

If i need to get a new one, the stealership quoted me $318, any thoughts on where to get it cheaper? And how do you determine the part number for these types of components? I only found out what this is today thanks to Google.

Vehicle Specs:

Year: 2000
Model: Passat GLX
Engine: 2.8(?) V6
Trans: 5spd
Drive: FWD

I've got a 1995 Passat that has recently developed a starting issue. 9 times out of ten it fires right up with the first turn of the key - its that other 1 time that has me baffled. Each time has been on a cold engine after sitting parked for 6 or so hours. The starter engages, engine turns and turns but does not fire. After twenty minutes of "coaxing" and a lot of starter turn it will finally cough and fire up - then runs fine. Any clues or ideas ?? Thanks
