They added a chemical, fixed the problem for a few days. Decided to get head gasket changed, fixed the water loss but not starting first thing in the morning.won't start mainly on cold/wet mornings so got the battery changed, still no difference! what else could it be? had a full service about 6months ago. Took them 2 days without charge to diagnose a faulty but not blown head gasket. the problems were things like: loose water sudden
wouldn't start first thing most days
a sweet smell inside the car
over heating

the garage put in some chemical to try to heal the head gasket problem because when they did the compression test it registered as just OK so i decided to get a new head gasket fitted. This has sorted most of the problem but not the starting most mornings especially on cold mornings. once it has started after about 3-5 turns of the key, it well turn over straight away but won't kick into running.
