Default '01 Cabrio: considered mk3 or 4?

maybe this is a dumb question, but I have an '01 Cabrio and don't know whether to look under mk3 or 4 for stuff. It has certain aspects from both the mk3 and mk4 Golf.

It's a Mk4 trapped in a Mk3 body, thus the Mk3.5 designation.

What kind of parts are you looking for?

well I was looking for a cold air intake system made for it, but I found one that worked with just minor modification. Now I'm just curious as to what I can get for this car performance/looks wise. I've been thinking about exhaust systems, don't know much about them though.

In that case, what is a good exhaust system for this car that isn't going to cost too much. I would like to go for a stainless steal system that will last.

Thanks
