Question 2004 vw gti vr6 help?

I have an 04 Gti Vr6. Stock. Just exhaust and exterior customization. I want to do some Modifications for horespower and stuff. I just want to know some things i can do to make it faster without installing turbo. I heard with the vr6 you can only run about 6 pounds of boost. not to good on the engine. i just wanna know some ways to make it faster. Thanks

Chip it. thats an easy 10-15 hp (don't believe the 30hp claims)

Performance air filter/Intake mods

exhaust mods can help too.

Mines a Garrett AA which is part of GIAC now i think. It is a physical chip added to the ECU whereas many newer ones are just a FPGA reflash. Garrett is the company that invented the art of chipping VWs but there are many great ones on the the market now. If you ever go to Dan's VW page there are letters from the founder of Garrett that are pretty interesting and show what great company they are/were.
