Default .: 276 Schricks...low/mid rpm power/torque loss?!

Planning to install a pair of Schrick 276s in my brazilian 2.0 16V (ABF based) but I'm afraid it will kill low/mid power and torque...what's your opinion about that?! Lemme know...

From what I read you are correct, it will hurt you low to mid end because of the increase in high end performance, most people also recommended doing some head work to go with them...I think 268s would be better for a daily application.

Whenever you decide to install camshafts that have a higher lift you must expect to loss some type of torque in the lower to midrange of your powerband. What you are basically doing is moving your torque to the right in a dynograph. How aggressive the lift/duration will determine the amount of loss you will incur. The loss might not be as important to say someone that road races or autocrosses alot because the rev's are always high and right in the meat of the bigger cams powerband. It is really all in what you plan on doing with the car and that will determine what type of cam you might chose.
