Default AFTERMARKET RADIO?????

i HAVE A 98 GOLF AND I INSTALLED A AFTERMARKET RADIO. NOW THE OBDII WON'T READ. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

turn off your radio when you go to scan your car if you want a perm. fix dissconnect the k wire i think it is called but i thought this was only a problem on the mkiv's i have scanned a few mkiii's with radios and as long as you take the face plate off the deck or turn it off your all set

Yep, disconnect the K-wire before you fry someone's scan tool...

How do I identify the k-wire location on the radio harness? I have the same issue, aftermarket radio is blocking diagnostic scanner.
