Default Complain With FAW-Volkswagen Bora 1.8T (Beijing, China) Need Help!!!

First of all, here i want to emphasize that this letter of complain was resulting from my despair of FAW-VOLKSWAGEN's back-up service and my anger in the event!

My name is Matthew, the Chinese name is Zhaolong. Yan na is my fiancee and she is also the victim of the fire accident.

I quoted the Case Briefs and the Expert Conclusion of the Judicial Expertise Report for vouch for the truth of the event. Here is the translation of the Case Briefs:

Judicial Expertise Report

Client: Yan na

Entrustment of date: March 28, 2008

Appraisal Object: Volkswagen Bora 1.8 T (License No.: 京GGR811)

Entrusted Case: Determine cause of vehicle spontaneous fire

Place Of Authenticate: RM 114, Xinyuanju Block 8, No. 72, Xincheng Qingyuan Rd. Ou hai rong xin vehicle repairs and replacement servies Co. Ltd. (FAW-VOLKSWAGEN)

1. Case Briefs:

In accordance with the story told by the client (Yan na), on March 27, 2008 11:30am, the owner drove the car start from Rm 114, Xinyuanju Block 8 (Tiancaimao Kids Clothes Shop) to the Check-in Counter in which is next to the Wenzhou Railway Station for take her goods. The owner used the Air conditioner once as a result of stifling hot inside the car (the owner smelled something scorches and turned off the Air Conditioner after short time using). When the owner came back and parked the car at the door of kids Clothes Shop and shut off the engine for a few minutes later, the front of the car burst into fumes and flames. Then the fire was put out at last by the firemen with actively fighting. The engine cabin which in front of the car were seirously burnt in the fire. The owner entrusted us (Wenzhou Changshun Motor Vehicles Judicial Expertise Office) to make a technical appraisal for investigate the cause of the fire.

4. Expert Conclusion

The great instantaneous current occurred inside the fan motor because the rotor locked by the broken metal plate used in fix the magnetic iron in the left cooling fan motor (V7) of the car, and produced high temperature and induced ignition of the insulation layer of the conductor and some of flammable materials.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

We immediately communicated with the FAW-VW staff after the spontaneous fire. But we didn't get any positive help and fair solutions! Frankly, they did nothing but shifting responsibility.

Everybody know the VW (China) is the multinational 2008 Olympic sponsor. But i don t think the FAW-VW is qualified to be sponsor for Olympics in this event what we experienced.

Many years ago, i heard that German automobile industry is known for exquisite craftsmanship and high quality, but now i cannot understand why such brand were becoming more and more bad since entered Chinese market. Because i don‘t think the Spontaneous fire should be the norm in any vehicles, especially such as VW. Personally i think, the same brand should have similar recognition, either in German or in China.

We didn't make any unreasonable demands to FAW-VW, we just need FAW-VW give us a fair solution and show us some positive back-up services, such as replacing us a new car with same version, or repair the car completely and it looks like new, and pay compensation for the appraisal fee, traveling expenses, and income loss due to missed working time etc.

Actuall we've appealed to the court, but the court suggested that they will make a out-of-court settlement between two Parties before the lawsuit. Althought we understand it seems too difficult to get a mutually satisfactory solution to both parties, but we still would like to agree with court's proposal for make our final attempt.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. To be quite frankly, we've get in touch with several domestic media and 3 oversea media for this case, like Phoenix Chinese TV, RFA-Radio, DW-Radio etc. Anyway as a consumer we'll spare no effort to fight for our right, we will accomplish our purpose at any price if we have to do so!

Although we are already prepared for the worse, but we also trust that things could take a turn for the better before the lawsuit. We prefer face to face negotiation better than fierce debate in court!

In conclusion, i'd like to say what i said above that A global brand is one that is basically the same product or service everywhere with only minor variations (as vw or Mercedes-Benz), and A same LOGO should be share the same credit anytime anywhere!

I'VE ATTACHED THE JUDICIAL EXPERTISE REPORT AND THE CAR ACCIDENT PHOTOS HERE FOR ALL THE FORUM MEMBERS' REVIEW.
