Cool need much info PLEASE

I am looking at buying my first VW in the next week or 2. I need as much info as possible. My boyfriend will research this car til he is blue in the face. I am suppose to find out as much as i can first. So i thought i would come here and once i have it i can show you guys cool pix.

I want to know anything large or small or anything about this car would be great. Also what price should i offer them. They put 2,000 or best offer. I seen on KBB.com the car was priced at most 1,590 but that was a 1988 and the car i;m looking at is an 85. so here goes.

This is what the posting read
1985 VW golf cabriolet
1.8L L4 MFI/F1

cloth upholstery
power brakes
cup holders
power steering
roll bar
removable hardtop
good tires
award winning car, runs good, new paint, car seat covers
and new parts

I have written to ask them what parts were put in and by whom and also how good the tires are and also do to a recall i ofund when the fuel pump was changed.

So whatcha think?

yeah seems a bit much, i mean you could get one like 10 years newer for about the same price....unless this cabrio has super low milage, or in super good condition....

Default hey

Well i got an email back stating that there is new tires, fuel pump, fuel filter, lift pump, distributer, heater hose. It was only driven in the summer....which is what I will be doing. She did say it had a stalling problem that they THINK but not sure it's the computer. She said it was 75 dollars to fix but other than that it ran good.....is 1,000 a good offer? Or cheaper than that...152,000 miles too
