OK VW Experts I need some help. I am down in Mexico trying to isolate my problem. Current problem happened when driving down the road and the car stared jumping and surging then electrical smoke. Was able to drive home the trans did not shift but was smooth driving. After getting home found that the circuit board inside the TCM fried and looks like it caught fire "SCARY" What are the chances the car could catch fire.. I found a used TCM same part number and installed but still having issues. Car is shifting super hard similar to when you have bad MAF. I did VCDS scan and got some codes that wont clear while running. With key on but not running I can clear the codes.

I have basic mechanic skills so be patient with dumb questions. Can someone give me good instruction how to test TCM, harness and the faulty solenoid. Or does somebody have a link to good instructions?

Below is the full VCDS scan but here is the prob I see.
