No problem. But a warning. Those forms are FULL of information, most of it good. But the people are assholes. I'd say 90% of the members on here have moved over from vortex because of the bashing you can get. MK1 people are normally older and more respectful. Best of luck and continue to ask questions and keep us updated.

if your on a budget either aba bottom with a 1.8 head, if you already have a dual down pipe you will have to get a longer down pipe, if you dont have a dual down pipe you need the manidold, techtonics sells the longer pipe, or you can use an audi 80 2.0 bottom end with a 1.8 head and it has the same deck hieght as a 1.7 and 1.8 so you dont need the long down pipe
also an aba has 9.6:1 compression ratio and the audi 80 has I think 10:1, so either was you should put knock sensor ignition on it, i
if you are doing it cheap but good either 2.0 with a 1.8 head has alot of potential so dont let people steer you clear of those swaps
if the 2.0 aba that JFryauff has is a german aba it has oil squirters and forged crank thats the one you want so you might want to get in touch with him.hope that helps
