It seems to be getting to much fule and dieing after a very short time running. could it be because of the differance in the years, anyone have any idea how toget it working of any ideas at all.
O im also looking for a nice bidy kits for my 84 jetta anyone know anywhere any sites.

That shouldn't make a difference. Make sure you have fuel and spark, thats what an engine needs to run.
Moving to the Mark 1 forum....

Try turning down the idle mixture screw in the fuel distributor
