Default Brake Caliper Pin/Bolt Specification

Mine is a 1985 Cabriolet. I took apart the front brake calipers and found one pin is longer than the other. I measure both pins from end to end: one is 63mm, the other is 53mm, both have a 6mm allen hex.
From those online autopart stores, most offer the two pins as 8X45mm and 8X55mm.
Why is there discrepancy from what I have on my hand?
Any help is appreciated.
