Default Can I dampen the rattle of my '82 rabbit biodiesel cheaply?

I have an 82 rabbit biodiesel that rattles a lot. Is there a way to dampen the sound without spening $500?

Thanks,

Gio

I don't think you could dampen the rattles of an 82 rabbit diesel WITH 500 bucks ... just the nature of the beast!

yeah - but if you ever drove a diesel rabbit you'd know there's more that 500 bucks worth of rattles in each one!

I should add, on a serious note, that replacing the motor mounts on these beasts can really dampen the vibes and make them nicer to drive - if youre teeth are rattling out you might want to check your motor mounts - for some reason I'm thinking the front upper one was the one that would transfer vibration to the body like a madman when it wore out - you can get new mounts for a lot less that 500 bucks and install them yourself.
