Default getting a 1981 vw rabbit convertible.....

my idea is to get the BBS rims or the 500+$ rims off of tirerack.com. but im not sure. the other idea i have is that putting a scirocco or golf gti 16v in it. but im not sure yet. i am looking for the 15x6 BBS wheels OEM VW 4x100 bolt pattern model RD070 or close to it. but the ones i found on tirerack.com are OZ WRC rims. not sure if they will work but i hope. a few question i do have is, can the GTi's grill and 4 headlights able to fit on the car? if yes is it a long process to do the swap? also has anyone tried to put a scirocco engine or GTi engine in a mk1 rabbit convertible? and how long will that take? also any one know where to get the old BBS 15x6 rims? well thanks for the posts i hope everyone has a nice day.

Default motors

not sure on the wheels there bud but i will say that if you really wanted you could stick the vr6 in it if you want. Personally I'd go with the 1.8lt 16v bore it out 40 thousandths and stroke it out .083 and put the 2.0 street performance cams and crank in it. add a header exhaust system and a turbo and intercooler setup. you can get just as much power out of it as a slightly tuned vr6.
