Head Unit fit???

Does anyone know of a head unit thatll fit for the 83? Tried one from a 98 Jetta

Like a stock VW one? Or what?

We're running, I think, a JVC in our '84 Jetta. Works fine.

Stock would be cool but looking for something more modern with more wattage.

I mean im sure I could just trial and error it but was just wondering if anyone else knew of one they put in that would fit the bracket

I had a Kenwood and Sony xplod in my mk1. I would upgrade the cheap paper speakers however. I know my scirocco used 4x6 speakers. I ran blaupunkt plate speakers.
