Default Hmmm...It's a possibility

Maybe instead of that Cabby I was tlaking about in the MK4 forums...

The kid lives right near me, 10 minutes maybe. And my friend Tim actually owned it for a while. Downside to it, has some electrical problems that no one can figure out. I thought about saying to the kid who owns it now that I have like 1 month to get the electrical fixed, if I can't, then I don't take it. Upside, all the engine work is very very recent, body is pretty good, coilovers are almost brand new and they cost him almost $1000. Sooo tempting...

I'm going to see it Wednesday night hopefully. Tim is coming with me since he knows more about Rabbits than me, especially that one since it was his. The only problem will be convincing me to put another car in my driveway. She's super meticulous about her new house, and I don't think she'll like the idea. I have to come up with something that will make it sound like a good idea, and telling her I want a "project car" is not it...

There is an electrical short or a crossed wire somewhere. When the driverside or passengerside door is opened, the fuel pump kicks on for a quick second.
LOL...Mk1s in a nutshell right there I've had my fair share of electrical problems with mine, most were simple fixes but a few took quite a bit of time and head-scratching. If you have the time and patience to break out the wiring diagrams and start sorting through everything, though, usually the PITA problems are something pretty simple in the end.

If I get it I was thinking of just bringing it down to Momentum and asking them to fix it. Also, Carson suugested maye an ignition switch.
