Default Is my 16v a 2.0L or 1.8L?

I just recently purchased a sweet '81 Pickup with a rebuilt 16v engine swap. I'm not sure though if it's a 2.0L or a 1.8L. I was told the engine came from a '87 Scirocco and it's a 2.0L but i have my doubts. How can I check this out and be certain?

If it came from a Scirocco it's a 1.8, but just to be sure there's a few ways to tell. Just below the front water neck there will be a number. If it starts with 9A it's a 2L, with PL it's a 1.8. Also, on the back of the block down by the oil pan it will have either 1.8 or 2.0 cast into it in big numbers.
