While installing my new speedo cable I removed the old cable from the transaxle and the plastic gear has fallen down inside the transaxle and was hoping someone here knows how to retrieve it. I tried to fish it out with a piece of wire but I cant even see it.

The only one I've ever gotten out was with a flat blade screwdriver which is slightly too big for the hole in the gear... pressed it into the gear and it came right out. If you can't get it I've seen people drive around with a couple of gears floating around in their trans. Get another gear from the dealer. Luckily it's plastic.
