Default putting power steering in my 83 gti

Love the car to death just kills be that its got no power steering could i put power steering it in from a mk2? what would i have to do to accomplish this?

Aww man - don't do that - you'd give up that nice close ratio manual box just so you could park while drinking coffee and talking on the phone?

If you have to do it use PS from a MK1 - but to me the PS in VW's always felt overboosted -

Funny - my '85 Saab had its power rack removed in favor of a manual high ratio rack - very worthwhile -

you can only use the rack out of a scirocco, go for the cabriolet stuff.
