Hi again everyone,
Been busy working on my Caddy...anyway, the problem is when it rains, water drips down in the passenger side...right on the passenger's feet Im thinking it's from the rust on the lower corner of the front windshield, the seal probably broke on that corner Any other suggestions on where this water is coming from? Im thinking the firewall is solid so the water must come from the window and down behind the dash.... By the way, got some new goodies for the Caddy and I will post some pics of progress soon!! Thanks!! :P |

Some people will tell you that it's not the windshield seal. They tried to tell me that when I started out.
I can tell you for sure, 99% of the time it IS the windshield seal. Remember, water carries dirt, so watch out for dirt trails under the seal. Sometimes it helps to get under the dash with a flashlight. If there's rust along the bottom of the windshield then it usually leaks into the rain tray (it should be fixed though before it spreads). Also check the drains at the sides of the rain tray to make sure they're not clogged.
