Default Rear Seat Belts for 81 Rabbit

I recently gutted the 81 Rabbit in hopes of doing some water sealing and after i pulled off the headliner and crappy plastic pannels, i noticed that there are strong threads on the quarterpannel on both sides. This looks like where a shoulder belt would attach if the car came with one....

does anyone know where to get rear shoulder belts for an 81 Rabbit?

sounds like it's time for a trip to a scrap yard - but I can't recall if my rabbits had rear shoulder belts or just lap belts .... if you pull 'em - be sure to pull the floor mounted ends as well - just in case the buckle tab changed -

in europe they had should belts, but when they brought the mk1s over here, with the different safety standards, they got rid of the should part and then gave them huge bumpers instead... strange but w/e lol. i think if you find the right car you can retrofit lap belts in, but i wouldn't worry about it.

Thats about what i figured. All the cool stuff is euro! I checked ebay with no success... usually you can find stuff like that there, but oh well. Does anyone know of any euro auction sites that would possibly have something like that up for sale?

I know that the threads are there.... i'm not sure about the bottom ancor thought. When you have shoulder belts, you have the reel, the shoulder hanger, and the lower ancor... all three need good strong bolts to hold. I'll have to check to see if theres anything that looks like an ancor before ordering anything if i do.
