Default What wheels fit on the mk1

May be able to get my hands on a fairly mint MK1 4 door just wondering if any other wheels fit on, it has steelies right now. Will 4x100 rims work?
I think it's a late 70's or early 80's model haven't checked which engine it is either yet. Thanks I'm new to the V dubs.

most 4x100 wheels fit provided the center bore is large enough (57.1mm)

Your not just limited to 4x100 wheels either as they make alot of adapters to fit different wheels, you just have to do some research first to make sure your offsets are right so you don't run into clearance issues. As far as overall diameter I'd say for an MK1 that 15's are perfect and go no larger than 16's...too big a wheel just doesn't look right on them, some 14's and even 13's can look right with the right wheel/stance

Probably looking at 15" wheels, will I need hubcentric adapters? Lots of 4x100 after market Civic wheels locally. Shouldn't the off set be around 38mm.

38-25 works pretty well. The hub center is 57.1 and with most aftermarket wheels you'll want centering rings. Be careful as some nicer wheels in Civic fitments come with the smaller centerbore of a Honda machined into them and the only way to make them fit is pricey machine work.

Honda has a 56.1mm center bore so it is close.
