Hey everyone, My cabby is a work in progress... I need some items for it and I was wondering where yo buy all the stuff I need at... The side moldings along the car are missing, and I don't want to go to VW and pay them over 100$ for just one strip. If anyone has any forsale or some for cheap let me know, the next thing is, The like weather stripping type stuff on the outside of the windows is cracking and I believe/guess that they are so called "dry rotting." I was also wondering if anyone knew how to redo the side door inserts to just like something black and plain, like what materials do you use, and how do you go about doing all that. Sorry that I'm asking so many questions, and their are still more... I also need new stripping stuff where the top comes down on the window, the idiot before me who owned the car took black permatex style stuff to try and seal it and make it look nice, it sure did seal it but it looks soo nasty... I need new seats everywhere in the vehicle, right now their old scirocco seats, grey fabric with leather outline and trim, does anyone have suggestions on that... Right now I'm creating a metal template where the speedo is that area and I'm going to place sheet metal with the swirls on it because that area is cracked and getting replaced by the metal... This is going to be an odd question, but does anyone know where to buy a Cabriolet 1989 hood made out of carbon fiber... I hope some of you can answer all these questions, yet again sorry for their being soo many of them... I'll have pictures posted tomorrow of the progress again of the car, and how it looks now... I also want to know what kind of rims came with the car, thought the guy was giving my his old BBS' ones but he gave me ones that look sort of like old Konigs. Posting all that tomorrow. Thank you everyone for all of your help...

Its weird, I just put my finger in and push down on a lever and the door opens, ne one have that part above let me know ^ this is all for a 1989 VW Cabriolet... Hey can someone tell me what to post things on here on the forum for a cabriolet form 89... Is it like a mk1... what would it be considered as like body style cause their is no specific cabriolet one... Thanks everyone again, and thanks for the reply, that site is cool.

For the seals on cabriolets... the dealer is really the only place to get them now. For the parts that seal the top to the windows, last I checked, 6 seals, $700.
Door handles are cheap from the dealer and it's the only place I'd get one since the aftermarket ones suck. You can also try http://www.mamotorworks.com/motorworks.html. Back before Rocky Mountain Motorworks was absorbed by them they carried loads of seals.
