Default 90 Golf Problems-Power steering, crazy idle and coolant leak

I've got a 1990 VW Golf GL 1.8L 8V Digifant II with about 200,000 miles on it. I get a squealing noise when I turn the steering wheel at low speed and it hard to turn, so I am assuming that the power steering pump is bad. Also I've been having a problem with the car idling erratically, its goes up and down between about 500rpm to 1500rpm and wont stabilize until i turn the heater on or some sort of load on the engine. I've cleaned the ISV and the throttle body and checked for vacuum leaks and it seems to be ok. Just trying to get another opinion on what it could be. Im also getting coolant leaking where the top radiator hose connects to the engine thought maybe it was a seal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the squealing when you turn is probably the belt. check it to see if it's worn out. as far as the idle. check for cracks in the intake boot and for cracks in the hoses that go to the isv. and for the leak is it leaking where the hose meets the water neck or where the water neck meets the engine? If it's where the water neck meets the engine it could be a bad seal. if it's where the hose meets the neck then it's either the hose itself is bad or isn't sealling right. if there's a hose clamp try to tighten it up a little and see if it fixes it.
