Hi all,
I have swaped my engine (for a standard 1.8 16v kr) and now my cars pulls a lot better. The problem is that it is idling to high (some times it goes to 1800rpms) I have tryed to adjust the idle by hand folowing this steps mk2 16v stalling? - fix it yourself!. And here are some questions that I have: - When I disconnect the "Red connector" should the ISV continue to buzz when I turn on the ignition? - With the "Red Connector" disconnected should the idle speed have variations when I strangle the hose that goes to the ISV? Even with the ISV disconencted when I try to stop the air from passing in that hose I notice that there is air passing through it. Could that be? - Why should I remove the oil breather hose? Thank you all in advance regards Felix Simoes |

Sorry, I don't know if I can be of any great help, but remember a few things from my old 16v days. I would check to see that the ISV is clean, or if there is a vaccum leak after making your adjustments. Only other thing that comes to mind, is maybe the o-ring for the idle screw might need replacing. Good luck!
