Default Dash lights.

Alright none of them work nor does the glow type deal at the bottom of the cluster to show time or something.. and one more problem is a charging well draining i guess. he told me it was a charging problem but he just unplugs the battery when hes done driving it and plugs it back in when he wants to go. the Charge light and the one next to it is on.... any ideas? thanks guys 87 4dr jetta.

The light next to the alt light is the oxs light for oxygen sensor check, comes on every 30k. you can easily reset it by locating the square speedo box by driverside firewall and push in the white button with screwdriver until it clicks. This will reset it and turn the light off. Check your connector on the back of the instrument cluster, is prob loose. You also could have a bad diode on the alt causing the batt to drain. You can check the alt for free at autozone.
