distributor question

I have A 90 Golf gl, and it need a distributor. My question is does an 86 gti 1.8 8v dist. work in a 90 golf 1.8 8v. I have a 86 gti with a motor on its way out and would like to know what other motor parts I can use on a 90..

87.5-92 8v distributor is the one you want. Anything with Digifant.
