Default Golf runs okay untill it warms up then dies.

Hello, I have a 1989 VW Golf with a 1.8L SOHC with the Digifant II system.
Here is my problem, My car will run okay when it is cold, lacks some power though, but as soon as it starts to get warm(i can feel it in the heater core) it loses power, and then at the lower RPMs sputters and dies. If i try and restart it, it will roar to life but then will die right out. I can drive the car if i unplug the Coolant temp sensor it will run again but of course richer and such.

I have spent alot of the afternoon going through all the messages from start to end in this forum, and found some interesting messages including someone with a simular problem, but there was no answers or anything posted. So im kind of lost still.

If anyone has any ideas on this, please post it, I am at a total loss after testing everything i can think of.

Thank you
Ken
