Default Head casting numbers?

Anyone know where I can lookup casting numbers off a head I recently acquired?

Head casting numbers are goofy. You might find the info you seek on the 'tex. What is it you need to know?

I'm afraid VW head casting numbers are not very informative, the same casting numbers get used for a few different heads. As Aaron asked...what specific information do you need?

It has 40mm valves, that's about all you need to know, other than the hydro/solid question. Checking the cam casting # will tell you a little more. Usually the letter suffix is between the #4 lobes.

Thanks for the really quick replies! I posted this on the 'tex a few weeks ago - it took me like a week to get 4 replies!
I was mainly asking, because I just wanted to have a little more background on what I was playing around with. I picked up the big valve head, dual dp/ dual outlet exh manifold and cat for like 125.00. He wasn't exactly sure what it was out of, but it was a MKII. The head also has "Germany H" cast into it, so the fact that it's German as opposed to the stock mexi head is also a bonus. Thanks again... I figure I'll be spendin' more time here now than "that other place"
