Default HELP!!! wiper problem

I have a 96 Golf and the wipers and sprayers quit on my car yesterday. I was thinking it might be the switch, because both quit at the same time. If anyone knows how to test this or has any input it would be greatly appreciated, I'm in Michigan and we are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow!!

Thanks
